1841

Our origin
Joan Soler Roca founds the first company in Spain dedicated to the manufacture of carding slivers.

This is the period in which the Industrial Revolution emerged and developed in Catalonia.

Since the beginning of our long history we have been committed to innovation, the development of textile manufacturing and the generation of work and wealth locally.

An innovative vision and a responsible and committed philosophy still guides us today and is part of our essence as a company.
1946

FYTISA is founded.
With a century of experience in manufacturing equipment for the textile industry, FYTISA is founded for the purpose of producing wool felts.
1964

FYTISA creates its nonwovens division.
A new step in innovation. Since then we have become an international reference in the production of nonwoven textiles.
1980

Textil Olius is born.
Textil Olius begins its journey as a company and brand with all the experience gained since 1841 and with the mission and commitment to maintain and drive innovation in the production of dyed wool felts.

Since then, our production capacity has grown underpinned, accompanied by improved processes, the optimization of resources, the reduction of our environmental impact and a strong collaboration with our customers to offer individual solutions with tailor-made products.

And we have done this always with sustainability as a principle and innovation as a driving force.
1999

Consolidation of industrial felt manufacturing activities at Olius. International expansion.

With the progressive expansion of the factory, culminating in the centralized manufacturing of industrial felt at Olius, we reinforce our commitment to innovation and our vocation as an international benchmark in the manufacture of wool felt for all industrial sectors.

We have been progressively developing new machines, improving our processes and incorporating cutting-edge technology to achieve efficiency and minimize our environmental footprint.

Textil Olius is participating in the industry 4.0 initiative digiTVC, a project that is co-financed by the Interreg Sudoe Programme (we are currently halfway through the pilot).

Our continuous research, carried out jointly with local and international machinery manufacturers, strives to combine experience and the leading technological advances.

It is a commitment that has led us to expand our presence on the five continents. We employ a commercial strategy based on an alliance with the best distributors and close and agile service to all our customers.

We maintain our commitment to use the best wools and believe that only with the utmost respect for the raw materials can we guarantee the best performance of our felts and thus enhance our most valuable asset: the trust of our customers.
