One of the main characteristics of the undercollar felts that we manufacture at Textil Olius is their softness and pleasant texture and hand. This comes from the selection of natural wools we use.
The properties of wool felt are fundamental, for example, in pieces such as coats and jackets. In these garments, the natural wool felt applied to the undercollar makes them perfectly tailored, enhancing the personality of the garment.
Due to their durability and strength, our undercollar felt keeps its shape over time, so collars and lapels do not warp, and garments retain lustre and smoothness over many seasons.
The durability of our undercollar felt, and the fact that it’s a natural and environmentally friendly product support the efforts of the garment industry to minimise its carbon footprint and contribute to making the fashion industry more environmentally responsible. In addition, we use GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified recycled wool for some of our products.
Technical characteristics of Textil Olius undercollar felts.
At Textil Olius, we manufacture our undercollar felts with high-quality natural wool, and we also have a complete range of felts made with 80% Polyester and 20% Viscose.
Our felts meet the requirements for dry cleaning shrinkage, colour fastness to dry and wet rubbing and are Oekotex class I certified. They are available in different compositions and weights, allowing them to be adapted to the specific needs of each pattern.
When manufacturing, we use a carefully selected composition of natural wool to guarantee the best long-lasting properties.
The natural wool is complemented with viscose, PES and polyamide (with different proportions depending on the product type) to consistently offer excellent dimensional stability and the broadest range of colours, both uniform and melange.
